A Worked Example
Suppose your last period started on 28 July 2026, today is 11 August 2026, your cycle runs 28 days and your luteal phase is 14 days. The date difference is 14 days, so the calculator reports you on cycle day 15. Ovulation is expected at cycle day 14 of the cycle — which, in this case, is effectively today or tomorrow. The fertile window runs from around cycle day 9, roughly five days before ovulation, through cycle day 15. Your next period is expected 28 days after 28 July, landing around 25 August — 14 days from today.
